(info below needs to be added to the albums)
"2c Lincoln, average, tied by bold Boston, Mass. Feb. 12, 1909 First Day postmark on a special multicolor embossed Lincoln post card (Lincoln portrait surrounded by flag on an easel, fancy gold border), unaddressed, fresh and crisp with only a tiny minor card corner crease, a lovely item." REF
"Tied by perfectly struck "Boston Mass. Sep. 24, 1909 4:30PM" pre-first day circular datestamp on picture side of unaddressed multicolored Expo-related picture postcard, Extremely Fine, less than 30 known from Boston and New York City" REF
Auction notes: "2c Lincoln, single with s.e. at left along the frame line, tied by "Feb 12 1909" first day duplex, town name is indistinct but date is very clear, on the reverse of a lovely Lincoln multicolor postcard, printed in Germany by a multi-color lithographic process that they were famous for, only the slightest edge wear, otherwise a very fine card with first day usage of this commemorative." REF
"2c Hudson-Fulton, Lancaster Pa Sep 25 09 machine cancel, on full W.W. Greist four-panel postcard (Planty 372-1) showing various Fulton related views or explanatory text, trivial corner fault, still a Very Fine classic FDC." REF My note: this is postmarked 7:30 am--it has to be one of the very first usages.
Tied by "Lancaster Pa 12:30 AM Sep. 25, 1909" three-line first day machine cancel on fold-out souvenir postcard with four paragraphs of text prepared by Congressman William Walton Griest to commemorate the stamp that he actively promoted because Fulton was from Lancaster, fairly legible local address, Extremely Fine -- there were two types of souvenir postcards -- one with three paragraphs of text on the address card and one with four paragraphs of text on the address card, there are 47 known of both types combined REF
Tied by "Brooklyn N.Y. Sta. W Sep. 25, 1909 1PM" first day machine cancel on multicolored Expo-related picture postcard, locally addressed, message reads "In commemoration of the naval parade of the Hudson-Fulton celebration. Lovingly, Mother", Extremely Fine REF
Part imprint at bottom, used with blue on yellow Hudson-Fulton Celebration Label, both tied by "Madison Sq. Sta. N.Y. Sep. 25, 1909 12:30PM" first day machine cancel on cover to Brooklyn N.Y., cover with couple tiny faults at left, otherwise Very Fine and scarce first day cover with a label from the celebration REF
1c Blue green, single tied to multicolored 1909 Alaska-Yukon Pacific Exposition picture postcard by immensely rare and distinctive "Seattle, Wash./Jun 23, 1909/Exposition Station" flag cancellation, with "Alaska-Yukon Pacific/Exposition" lettering incorporated into flag' stripes, card depicts a scene looking down Yukon Avenue at the Exposition and is addressed to Orland, Ind., stamp with natural s.e. at top, very fine; one of the most important Exposition covers known, as this card bears one of only two recorded Alaska-Yukon flag cancellations; ex-Bowmar, Ladin and Payne. REF (sold for $9,000)
